A little taste of your day-to-day
Every day is different, but youll mostly be responsible for:
Maintain the hotel equipment, building and asset in good condition to ensure its high performance and reduce the breakdown.
Report immediately any misuse of hotel equipment and assets to their direct Supervisor or Shift Leader.
Use initiative and foresight to undertake tasks outlined within the preventative maintenance program without the direction of the Line Manager
Daily inspection and rectification of all public areas in relation to your trade.
Regular inspection and tours of the equipment and to ensure that they are clean and are in operating order.
Regular inspection for the utilities and inform immediately the Line Manager in case any of failure, breakage or shortage.
Ensure that appropriate files are maintained, and resources kept for future reference.
Do lighting check to ensure all globes are in working order.
Assist in the planning, and scheduling of the daily operations and preventative maintenance.
Complete of periodic maintenance schedules
Gain understanding of the departmental goals and financial targets and support your Line Manager to achieve these targets.
Recycle where-ever possible and enforce cost saving measures where appropriate.
Conduct regular tours and patrolling in and out of the hotel premises to ensure that the lighting schedule is implemented, for the reducing the energy consumption; Also, to identify any water leaks.
Familiarize self with the green engage initiatives and the saving plans.
Building Trust – Ability to interact with others in an honest, fair and respectful way, giving others confidence in one’s intentions and those of the organization.
High Work Standards – Sets high standards of performance for self and others; assumes responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments or tasks.
Interact and cooperates with Hotel guests, others internal & external including Engineering Department and outside contractors as directed.
Interact with other departments when necessary to provide additional or specialized services for functions, promotions and festivities.
Ensure that regular on-going communication occurs with associates in order to create awareness of business objectives, communicate expectations.
Help and train contractors & supplies in safety procedures.
Assist the Shift Leaders in the preparation of the daily scheduling and weekly forecasting of all maintenance work.
Attend Hotel Meetings or training sessions as required by management.
Ensure that the house rules are obeyed.
Be able to show flexibility to change the work schedule.
Be able to show flexibility for working extra hours.
Participate in hotel activities.
Comply with Hotel Rules and Regulations and provisions contained in the Employment Handbook.
Comply with Company Grooming Standards.
Comply with Time and Attendance Policies.
Actively participate in training and development programs and maximize opportunities for self-development.
Comply with the Corporate Code of Ethics and Business Conduct.
