As a Contract Administrator, your key responsibility shall be managing the contract between the employer and the building contractor.
Strong verbal and written communication skills and acute attention to detail are musts.
Must be able to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.

The role involves managing the contract between the RAQ and the Employer and Subcontractors.
What it takes:
+ Act in a manner that is independent, impartial, and fair when making decisions.
+ Outstanding skills in English professional business language
+ Knowledge and professional certifications in the contracts/commercial field are a must
+ An understanding of legal documentation
+ Have the knowledge and skill to understand the relevant contractual provisions and know how to apply them.
+ Have in-depth knowledge of construction and the inter-relation between trades and construction operations so that the changes and the impact of the changes can be traced.
+ Should be familiar with the various FIDIC clauses and contract types.
+ Should be adept with financial matters for interim payments, interim valuations, etc.
+ Should be skilled at assessing EOTs, preparing cases for claims based on data given from the site
+ Should be able to address gaps in the systems by implementing policies and frameworks missing
Responsibilities:
+ Discussing, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating the terms of business contracts
+ Liaising with technical and financial staff, sub-contractors, legal teams, and the clientÂ’s own representatives
+ Be able to set up appropriate office procedures and record keeping commensurate with the scale and nature of the building contract and the works
+ Be aware of, and where necessary be conversant with, the different types of critical paths and project programming techniques
+ The Contract Administrator should promptly advise the Client in writing of any circumstances that occur during the project, which could result in increased cost or additional time to complete the project.
+ Review tender contracts to ensure compliance with RAQ standards
+ Ensure the project is executed without dispute by coordinating with and supporting the Project Manager
+ Support negotiation of claims, manage contractual changes and resolve disputes or conflicts
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with certification for Contracts Administration from a reputed organization (preferable).
+ 7-10 Years working in the construction industry and minimum 7 years as a Contract Administrator
+ Thorough knowledge in Contracts Management including various forms of contracts, FIDIC Conditions of Contract, exposure to planning and coordination, subcontractor management, Pre and Post Contract Management
+ Experience in big size construction projects
+ Experience with a focus on the contracting side
