This leadership role will pay a critical role in building the foundation of Insulets newly formed Middle East and Africa regional business. Reporting to the Head of International this individual will be responsible for market development, team building, and commercial execution.
The successful leader will grow Insulets business across a focused group of countries within the region while identifying new markets to supplement organic growth. S/he will be responsible defining market strategy and tactics, while working effectively with our distributor partners to execute the strategy and drive double digit market growth of the Omnipod system.
Develop a business strategy for driving Omnipod growth in newly established markets and growing market share in established Omnipod countries to increase overall CSII (continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion) penetration with differentiated benefit to Insulet
Guide, direct, and ensure balance of market development, commercial execution, and product-related initiatives for the successful foundation and ongoing growth of the Omnipod platform
Lead the Dubai based team through strategic business development activities including local partnerships to build channel, create strong advocacy relationships, target KOLs for engagement and activation, drive and own key payor relationships for access and reimbursement, and gain traction on innovative opportunities related to Digital education and engagement
Work with international functional leadership (Market Access, Medical Affairs, Marketing, Legal and others) to align regional resources responsible for commercial growth
Consistently grow the business in excess of market rates, in alignment with Insulet revenue and profitability targets

Commercial Leader with 15+yrs including prior P&L/General Manager experience with a large market or regional roles
Specific knowledge, understanding and experience across different markets in the Middle East and Africa
15+yrs in medical devices and/or diabetes technology related space to provide experienced view on changes in regulations, reimbursement, commercial models, and how private and public authorities assess, engage, and adopt new therapies
Demonstrated success in developing new business models, market-specific innovations, and/or having material impact on key stakeholder relationships
Firm grasp of market access and reimbursement-related requirements
Experience working in matrix environment where resources are not 100% within span of control
Broader global experience is a plus but not required
