A preferred candidate will have had experience working with or in organizational structures to drive value and outcomes through creative solutions with minimal oversight and in ambiguous environments. Technical competencies include a thorough understanding of innovation / startup lifecycles and an ability to quickly understand aerospace and technology-related innovations, end use cases, as well as supporting founders and stakeholders in the ecosystem. He or she should excel in both strategic thinking and be proficient in project execution.
In this position, the candidate would:
Support the Accelerator Program delivery team to carry out its mission effectively, accountably and in line with Boeing strategic priorities
Lead on local stakeholder management and engagement, establishing key local partnerships
Organize events across the region to raise awareness of the program
Build relationships across the founders ecosystem to identify the startups we can best support
Work with the team to design the program to best support the cohort, teams and founders
Use his/her network to find the best mentors to help founders overcome their obstacles
Organize and host a program of workshops covering everything from marketing to finances – and finding founders to share their knowledge to fill the gaps
Working with each company to identify areas they need most help with, advising them and introducing them to the right mentors, investors, Boeing champions
Support current and future portfolio companies with regional opportunities, introductions, and serve as the conduit for a regional portfolio development liaison
With the capability leadership and other key stakeholders, regularly review the Accelerator & Innovation Programs strategy, targets and risks.
Report to the capability leadership and governance board on Accelerator & Innovation Programs delivery, development, best practice and financial management.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
3+ years experience in working with suppliers, startups or early-stage innovators
3+ years’ experience in strategy, finance or project management and advancing projects in ambiguous environments
3+ years’ experience presenting work product to executives, senior leadership, and external customers and partners
A strong team player, with an extensive network, who has the initiative and ability to embrace leadership roles when opportunities arise
Ability to develop and enhance partnerships and external relationships.
Ability to think strategically and foster collaboration between startups and corporates.
Experience within the aerospace or tech sector.
An established network of aerospace or tech professionals and/or organizations.
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
An understanding of and network within Boeing Business Units – Boeing Commercial Aircraft, Boeing Defense, Space & Security, and Boeing Global Services as well as the internal supporting functions
Experience of working with investors, including angles and VCs. Corporate investors would be a bonus.
Fluent in Arabic is a plus.
Typical Education/Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination
Relocation:
