Responsible for leading the overall direction, operation and performance of hotels in MEA. Provide direction to principal correspondents and hotel operations, and act as a liaison with corporate operations staff to facilitate services and compliance with company strategy, brand quality and operations standards.
Provide direction to general managers in developing the annual business plans and budgets and strategies for each hotel, and guide the development of the capital expenditure plan for area of responsibility.
Achieve the metrics established.
Monitor the implementation of business plans through written correspondence, conference calls and personal visits to hotels in region to ensure hotel operating profits, revenues, quality and service objectives are maximized. Provide corrective guidance as needed.
Identify and implement benchmark and best competitive practices for assigned region.
Develop strategies to increase brand awareness by focusing on points of difference, implementation of standards, and ensuring that standards are guest driven while providing ownership value.
Ensure yield and rate programs are optimized through utilization of available corporate revenue support resources.
Coach and develop general manager(s) in assigned region, in diagnosing, addressing and resolving hotel problems: and in analyzing local market activities to determine what competitive actions, if any, should be taken. Review changes in hotel management structures and/or headcount actions for Senior Management approval.
Provide ongoing information and status reports to senior operations management on monthly evaluations of financial and operational performance against plan.
Assist area development executives with new property marketing and financial analysis, due diligence and hotel positioning against the competitive set
Provide support to internal stakeholders.
Develop, manage and foster positive owner relationship and provide ongoing information and status reports.
