The HR Officer should be a caring, inspirational, passionate, adaptable, creative, and innovative member of staff. He/she should be an outstanding motivator, learner, administrator, and communicator, with excellent interpersonal skills, and should be capable of ensuring support in the daily operations of the Human Resources Department and the SchoolÂ’s development through a caring, stimulating, and well-organized environment.

Requirements

Qualifications.
BachelorÂ’s degree in administration or equivalent
Minimum of 2-3 years of Human Resources and administrative experience
Knowledge and Skills. He/She should:
be aligned with the ISL values of diversity, passion, identity and understanding
possess excellent communication and collaborative skills
have the ability to develop and work with teams, including collaborating and maintaining effective relationships with all levels of the school administration, departments and employees
be able to provide support for members of the human resources team
have absolute discretion in handling confidential information
ability to analyse, evaluate and prioritise challenges and issues and develop workable solutions
knowledge and expertise in Qatar employment laws and regulations
have the ability to manage multiple priorities and fulfil responsibilities with minimal direction
have an excellent command of spoken and written English (strong ability in Arabic would also be a great asset)
Responsibilities. He/She will be responsible for:
Fostering the values, dispositions, behaviours, attitudes and attributes of the ISL Qatar guiding statements and IB learner profile
Answering any enquiries and take messages where appropriate.
Supporting in the review of the human resources policies and procedures
Supporting the recruitment process including shortlisting of candidates and conducting pre-interviews over phone
Contacting candidates and liaise interview appointments
Communicating with candidate referees through email providing reference forms.
Communicating with unsuccessful applicants through email.
Conducting exit process by scheduling exit meetings with leavers and prepare clearance forms and computation of gratuity.
Creating personal files for all new staff and ensure that all documentation is completed
Generating new staff email and code from the schools information system and coordinate with Tech Hub and other relevant departments.
Updating the HR records and system
Supporting the team in the preparation and during the induction period.
Supporting the PRO during the integration process providing the necessary documents for acquiring work visa, work permits, and residence permits
Supporting in any accommodation concerns and needs in collaboration with the Facilities Team
Supporting the travel logistical needs of staff and guests particularly related to professional learning activities and other school related activities that requires logistical support.
Updating records on staff database system that includes managing the absence and leave system, including adding new staff and archiving leavers.
Updating the payroll for any staff deductions and cover payments.
Provide general clerical support as required for HR department including but not limited to photocopying, filing, drafting of letters, etc.
