Manager Integrated Planning Job Description
The Manager is responsible for evaluating, planning, organizing, managing and contributing to all media planning activities in an effort to achieve all corporate objectives while ensuring a consistent development of both the agency and the clients future performance. They are responsible for the creation and implementation of media strategies and is also responsible for the overall client satisfaction, ensuring that all deliverables are being met in a timely manner and at best quality.
Full control on communication planning & strategic output.
Understand marketing objectives and strategies for all the teams Clients and ensures media objectives and strategies are on target.
Provide direction to planners and buyers in the team regarding implementation of media buys ensuring they are consistent with the approved plan.
Provides training to planners in proper methods of preparing, evaluating and implementing media plans.
Delegate tasks as necessary ensure adequate briefing and training has taken place and that the workload of planners is well managed.
Develop, maintain and refine ongoing reporting procedures and working practices.
Liaise with internal & external buying resources to ensure smooth implementation of campaigns.
Establish and recommend training needs within the team.
Identify knowledge gaps and steps taken to fill them.
Ensure that the Media Director is fully up to date on current activity and potential issues.
Be involved in additional agency activities pitches, training seminars, internal committees
Ensure administration work is correct and up-to-date.
Involvement in major media negotiations for Clients within their portfolio. This should be in conjunction with the Media Director and Buying director.
Functions as a primary contact between Client Service and the Client management for all strategic requests.
Provide direction regarding competitive reporting and media planning and carries overall responsibility for preparation, format, interpretation and presentation to Client.
Maintains strong relationship with media suppliers.
Responsible for the growth and development of team members ensuring their skills are up to par.
Ensuring value added deliverables to clients on a continuous basis.
Carries out communication planning presentations & reviews.
Carries out semiannual & annual reviews.
Work on pitches & new businesses.
Ensure best practices with other teams in the agency.
Contribute to innovation idea generation.
Business profitability and financial analysis.
Intelligence monitoring including store visits.
Engage with the company and contribute with ideas on company and client level
Exposure and contribution to Digital Media planning
· Responsibility for budget management as well as help client set budgets for coming year
Works closely with suppliers regarding special requirements for clients and campaigns
Full exposure to management of clients accounts
Works closely with the Planning Team to ensure knowledge base and development of skills
Works closely with the Media Director in creation and implementation of long term strategies within the areas of responsibility
