Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Market Research Analyst to join an esteemed client of ours and play a vital role in enhancing our understanding of the dynamic Shipping sector, with a specific focus on offshore oil and gas and the renewable energy industry. As a Market Research Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth market research, analyzing data, and providing actionable insights to drive strategic decision-making and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, lucrative opportunities, and potential challenges within the marine logistics sector, particularly in offshore oil and gas and renewable energy.

Competitive Intelligence: Gather and meticulously analyze data related to competitors, customer preferences, and prevailing market conditions to support the development of effective business strategies, marketing campaigns, and sales initiatives.

Market Monitoring: Stay abreast of industry news, publications, and regulatory updates, ensuring that you remain well-informed about market developments. Translate this knowledge into actionable insights for the organization.

Forecasting: Develop and maintain forecasting models to predict future market trends, supply and demand dynamics, and pricing fluctuations within the oil and gas sector.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams, including Sales, Marketing, Business Development, and Finance, to provide data-driven insights that inform strategic decisions and drive initiatives forward.

Reporting and Presentation: Create clear and concise reports and presentations that effectively communicate research findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders.

Segmentation Strategies: Assist in the development of market segmentation and targeting strategies to optimize the organization’s market positioning and identify growth opportunities.

Campaign Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing and sales campaigns, offering data-driven recommendations for improvement.

Methodology Enhancement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of market research methodologies, tools, and processes to elevate the quality and accuracy of research findings.

Industry Expertise: Maintain an in-depth understanding of our organization’s services and value propositions, enabling you to interpret market data within the context of the oil and gas industry effectively.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Proven experience in market research and analysis, preferably in the marine logistics, offshore oil and gas, or renewable energy sectors.
Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
A proactive and detail-oriented approach to research and analysis.
