Currently, we are seeking for Ocean Freight OPAC Manager, MEA. In this role, the successful candidate will have to Support the Ocean Freight Operations within MEA on sick files and drive performance on all OPAC (Operational Accounting) related tasks for Ocean Freight. Assist countries to identify loss making customers / trade lanes after GPS as well as will help countries to identify quick wins to improve auto rating performance and ensure that all local contracts negotiated with shipping lines are uploaded into Cargo sphere improving our auto costing performance and data quality. Guiding countries to ensure all accruals are captured on time and correct for a smooth P2P process flow as well as monitor our unbilled overdue files to minimize impact on the business and our customers. Manage and train different teams, improve their knowledge and ensure proper setup of rates for Autorating/costing
Meet & exceed globally defined Autorating/costing targets
Ensure Autorating/costing ownership and accountability at station level
Define, document and communicate to be process for rates maintenance and support
Establish maintenance process for OFR with collaboration of GSC resources
Define and implement audit activities related to Autorating/ Autocosting
Ensure continuous improvement Autorating/costing and maintain quality output
Lead the implementation of Global Rates initiatives in MEA (i.e. Quote shop, Cargo Sphere to CW1)
Closely monitor the Global Rates system enhancements and roadmap to ensure that the MEA is up to date with CW1 Autorating/Autocosting best practices
Pro-actively address Autorating/costing issues with Global TMS team and ensure proper resolution at country level
Ensure P2P process is followed with little pending operations in all countries
Following up with MEA countries to improve unbilled performance and assist them with challenges
Close monitoring of GPS (Gross Profit Sharing) in our region and support countries to monitor GPS
Ensuring that countries adhere to capturing of WIPs and Accruals are captured on time in line with Global Standard procedures
Monitoring of sick files within the region and working with countries to address challenges and ensure accurate GP on files.
Contact with all countries within MEA
Connect with and influence other specialist departments and 3rd parties e.g. external service providers
May convince others to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches
Build strong, trusting cross-functional relationships with DPDHL managers
Understand customer and key stakeholders interests and concerns and advise direct reports, customers and key stakeholders
Provide technical guidance to line managers and employees.
Job Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
5+ years experience in Ocean Freight Forwarding
Experience in implementation and deployment of large-scale projects
High level of experience with rating management and solution design
Super-User of Cargowise One operating system
Good knowledge of CargoSphere, Quoteshop & Global RFQs (IPT structure, etc.)
Able to work independently, manage teams and drive complex projects
Result oriented and solution driven with the ability to find innovative/out of the box solutions
Be able to handle heavy workload and be stress resistant.
Performance Management & Process Improvement experience.
