Reporting to the Planning and Performance Management (PPM) Retail Business Partner , the Planning and Performance Management Analyst will be required to solve complex business problems using critical analytical thinking, financial modelling skills and commercial pragmatism. He/she should be highly organised with demonstrated ability to turn around essential analysis balancing quality vs time to facilitate strategic decision making. The Planning and Performance Management Analyst will also be required to collaborate closely with key stakeholders across the business to ensure ‘full picture’ analyses and solutions developed.

Job Accountabilities

As Planning and Performance Management Analyst, your role will involve:

Act as a performance reporting expert to the business by utilising excellent data visualisation skills
Deliver comprehensive sales reports for the management team to have in depth insight into its performance
Provide key financial analysis to understand performance under IFRS17 of the regional business, highlighting potential areas of concern, growing trends.
Extract data from local and group business systems to perform analysis and provide support on projects
Provide support for annual planning and monthly forecast processes
Provide support to the distribution team, providing financial information on tracking bank partnerships, campaigns, incentives
Preparation of external distribution reports, as per client needs

Job Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

3 or more years of experience in an analytical role
Excellent analytical skills to analyse and manipulate data in order to make accurate and consistent interpretations
Studying towards an actuarial qualification/attained a number of actuarial exams
Broad insurance knowledge including products and services
General knowledge of insurance systems and experience with word processing, database, statistical, and presentation software
Ability to automate reporting tasks desirable
Knowledge of SAP & Salesforce would be advantageous
Excellent data visualisation skills (e.g. creating charts, graphs and dashboard style reports), using Excel, Access, R, Tableau software
High level of numeric ability to understand, evaluate and interpret data and to analyse business impacts
Proactive and positive attitude
Competent at prioritising, resourcing and planning
Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills
