Major Areas of Responsibility
? Plan machining processes by studying work orders, blueprints, 3D models, wire frame models, engineering drawings, material specifications, reference planes, locations
of surfaces and machining parameters.
? Applies statistical methods and performs stack-up calculations to determine optimised manufacturing processes in terms of safety, quality, repeatability, and cost.
? Proactively resolves problems—technical, planning, or product quality—to maximize process repeatability, and minimize cost of production.
? Contributes and takes ownerships in the generation of PFMEA documents.
? Read and produce engineering drawings according to different international standards with a sound knowledge of GD&T
? Prepares/modifies technical drawings, specifications, calculations, visual aids and any other documentation for production instruction or fixture definition.
? Supports in the design and modification of tooling and fixtures.
? Delivers results on any business support project (i.e. cost saving, industrialization, NCR, Mods) on time and within budget.
? Prepare and maintain work Instructions to support production operators.
? Issues engineering official communication to production staff when an approved deviation is taken from work instructions.
? Works within the limits of authority as defined by the Manufacturing Engineering Procedures getting adequate approvals with deviations are required.
? Observes test cuts and FAIs during manufacturing processes
? Create or modify Process Flow Charts, covering all manufacturing process steps.
? Releases rework sequences in the ERP system, providing adequate instructions as required.
? Record and project manage all actions required to close any assigned engineering change proposal (ECP) successfully.
? Maintains an error-free configuration in the PLM and ERP systems for any assigned part numbers.
? Work independently with minimal supervision.
