Position Statement
We are looking for an undergraduate student to support our Interior Design team for Europe on a 12-month internship. An excellent opportunity for an undergraduate student with a small amount of practical experience, who is looking to propel their career within a world leading hospitality company. You will support on a range of design projects for our hotels across Europe, while reporting into the Senior Director of Design for ME. You will have the opportunity to learn on the job and gain a practical understanding of interior design within the hospitality industry.
Position Summary
This role is predominantly focused on supporting the Interior Design Director/s and the Project Director/s across their projects. The position will gain the necessary experience to eventually run their own small projects. The role will also provide exposure to other support Hilton functions. More specifically you will:
Work closely with the Interior Design Director/s & Project Director/s to support on new development, conversion, and CapEx projects across the region.
Supporting with design for projects across Europe, including new developments, conversions, and renovations of existing hotels.
Working closely with the Senior Director of Design to establish design direction and key brand identity elements specific to Europe.
Preparing design narratives and material boards.
Meeting suppliers.
Managing the fixtures, furnishings, and equipment (FF&E) library.
Managing the project image library for the EMEA region.
Qualifications
We are looking for an undergraduate student currently working towards an interior design related degree and has a strong desire to progress a career in the hotel industry. The success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:
Proactive with a strong willingness to learn and takes ownership of tasks.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate via email and PowerPoint.
Good at planning, keeping records and attention to detail.
Passionate about driving the right first-time approach to project development.
Strong in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills.
Above all, you must have a positive can-do- attitude, be proactive and resilient.
We are looking for an undergraduate student at the point of application.
You must be able to undertake a full-time (40 hour per week) 10-12 month internship, from the start date.
We are looking for a candidate who is local to Dubai, who already has a suitable visa and the correct right to work.
