Job Title: Project Manager-Cyber Security
Job Purpose:
The job purpose of a Project Manager in Cybersecurity and Innovation is to secure an organization’s digital assets and foster technological advancement. This entails managing complex projects, teams, and evolving threats while driving innovation to enhance the organization’s competitive edge
Key Accountabilities
The key accountabilities of the Project Manager IT role include:
Project Planning and Execution: Develop and execute project plans for cybersecurity and innovation initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and objectives.
Innovation Strategy: Drive the development and execution of innovation strategies that leverage emerging technologies and industry best practices to enhance our cybersecurity measures.
Resource Management: Allocate and manage project resources, including personnel, budget, and technology tools, to ensure successful project delivery.
Cybersecurity Implementation: Lead the implementation of cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions and practices, including threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management.
Innovation Projects: Manage innovation projects from ideation to execution, collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring innovative ideas to life.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate cybersecurity risks, ensuring the protection of sensitive data and critical systems.
Vendor and Technology Partnerships: Collaborate with technology vendors and partners to evaluate and implement innovative cybersecurity solutions.
Stakeholder Communication: Establish clear communication channels with project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress and milestones.
Budget Oversight: Manage project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring spending remains within approved limits.
Compliance and Security: Ensure that all cybersecurity initiatives and innovations comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Team Leadership: Provide leadership to project teams, fostering collaboration and innovation among team members.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including technical specifications, project plans, and innovation reports.
Qualifications And Experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related field required; master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) is a plus.
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is mandatory.
5-7 years of experience in project management, with a strong focus on cybersecurity and innovation projects.
Deep technical knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices, including threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management.
Experience in driving innovation and implementing emerging technologies.
Proficiency in risk assessment, resource allocation, and vendor/partner management.
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of industry compliance standards and IT security best practices
Excellent documentation skills for technical specifications, project plans, and innovation reports.
Adaptability and a commitment to staying updated on cybersecurity trends and emerging technologies.
Proficiency in risk assessment, resource allocation, and supplier/vendor management, including contract negotiation and vendor performance evaluation.
Experience in managing Request for Information (RFI) or Request for Proposal (RFP) processes.
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Experience in change management and guiding teams through technology transitions.
