The opportunity
The position will work with business leaders and assignees (at all levels) to plan, coordinate, and manage end-to-end international mobility assignments into and out of the region. You will guide and provide relevant advice to your business stakeholders and assignees to ensure consistent exceptional assignee experiences with intentional outcomes, whilst meeting the needs of the business and building a better working world.
Your Key Responsibilities
Act as the primary Mobility point of contact for one or more Service Lines in your Region and manage all phases of in-bound and out-bound assignments (pre assignment, on assignment, repatriation, extensions, and post assignment), including high complexity and VIP assignments
Act as a trusted advisor to your Stakeholder group within your Service Lines, applying an understanding of business needs to develop solutions
Work closely with Stakeholders to understand the business case of newly initiated assignments, and apply the global mobility policy framework to map and determine the appropriate assignment category and relocation package which aligns to the needs of the business as well as the assignee
Collaborate with operational stakeholders in the various Regional Core Business Service (CBS) functions such as Talent and Finance to ensure they are equipped to successfully support Mobility of our function
Partner with home/host Mobility Consultants in the development of the appropriate assignment package, and work closely with them to manage all phases of the assignments
Instruct the offshore support team, the Virtual Talent Hub (VTH), on all activities as per scope of service, and review and monitor output
Apply knowledge of Tax and Immigration regulations to support the business in managing risk and to ensure effective assignment planning
Monitor vendor services to ensure consistent and exceptional service delivery, manage exceptions and issues for resolution and provide feedback to continually improve operations
Escalate issues with the appropriate network (i.e., AS leadership, Account Management, Talent Management, Partnerships, etc.)
Ensure assignee is fully briefed and informed at all stages of the process to ensure understanding of the critical milestones, legislation, and documentation to be completed
Action and manage all major on-assignment events for assignees, including salary review, payroll cut-off dates and annual allowance reviews
Maintain frequent communication with assignees to ensure their assignment is progressing as planned and assist in resolving any issues
Assist in the development of others by providing feedback and recognizing accomplishments
Actively take responsibility for the training and development of new and junior team members, including counselling responsibilities where appropriate
Skills And Attributes For Success
Significant knowledge and experience of international mobility, policies, processes, and systems
General knowledge of HR principles recruitment and selection, career management, performance reviews, termination, remuneration, induction/ on-boarding, employee relations etc.
Strong understanding of Tax, Immigration, and social security legislation, as well as relevant employment law and other business or economic forces
Strong understanding of payroll requirements to draft accurate instructions for the amendment of compensation packages and payments relating to the assignment terms
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to gain trust and confidence as an advisor
Demonstrate a strong customer service mindset. A desire to deliver exceptional service to internal business stakeholders and assignees
Strong communications skills with the ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels including colleagues within other regions, Service Line stakeholders, Talent Team, – Tax and Immigration teams, as well as external vendors
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize objectives and manage all aspects of your role
Able to work effectively in a fast paced, agile, and demanding environment
Ability to work in a virtual teaming and complex stakeholder matrix environment
Ability to use a Global Mobility Technology tool as well as other relevant HR systems and knowledge tools
Experience and good level of skill in using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
An appropriate level of business acumen
Good intellectual rigor and commercial awareness
Maintain and use (when appropriate) a network of contacts in other EY practices, Service Lines, or geographies
Demonstrate the ability to work well in a team environment
Strong attention to detail
To qualify for the role you must have
2+ years relevant experience
Ideally, youll also have
Professional certifications and/or masters studies in a related discipline is preferred, not required
Active membership to related professional bodies or industry groups is preferred, not required
