Job Description

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Cost Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to assist the Lead Cost Manger in developing and managing commercial aspects of component projects; including coordination with all stakeholders.

What You’ll Be Doing
Responsible for day to day management for all commercial aspects of the component projects; including planning and controlling the budgets for the component projects; monitoring and tracking actual cost vs budgets
Reporting commercial matters to PMC/ project lead and DMT as required; activities such as planning, estimating, budgeting, financing, funding, managing, and controlling costs so that the projects can be completed within the approved budget.
Assist the Lead Cost Manager for exercising a qualified level of cost management including cost planning, controlling and reporting proficiency.
Responsible for the creation and maintenance of reports to accurately reflect current budgets, invoices and committed costs; projected-to-go or cost-to-complete estimates; budget variances; cash flow projections; and schedule of values for individual projects.
Provide trending information to assist in forecasting potential problems with cost and time.
Manage work breakdown structures and revisions.
Coordinate conceptual estimates for various design and construction estimates to provide program budgets.
Development and maintenance of automated program cost database.
Perform work in a safe manner and actively encourage others to comply with safety rules and regulations.
Provide, annually, a fiscal budget and past period cost performance report.
Provide, monthly, a consolidated program cost performance report.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s Degree or at least twelve years related experience and/ or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Candidates for these Projects should demonstrate Roads Infrastructure experience in a PMC capacity
Experience of working on large Programmes of small works would also be useful.
Proven construction experience in estimating, bidding and job cost preparation; and an understanding of construction contracts, scheduling and general construction management principles is required. Construction experience in change order review / negotiations process preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Candidates for these Projects should demonstrate Roads Infrastructure experience in a PMC capacity. Experience of working on large Programmes of small works would also be useful.
