About the job:
Kent is recruiting for Senior Engineer- Mechanical-Piping to work at one of their clients facility and will be responsible for the following activities:
Authoring and Compilations:
Review, compilation and authoring of engineering scopes of work, engineering deliverables and design basis.
Author and compile in-house designs including feasibility studies, concepts and FEED.
Management of Change:
Determine and review mechanical equipment related calculations (e.g. HVAC, Piping, and Rotary) for all modifications and new projects in accordance with management of change process.
Concept studies, FEED, DED and PIC Deliverables:
Review pre-feasibility studies completed by Technical Department and make necessary recommendations.
Prepare, review, and finalize Concept studies.
Review and approve, on allocated projects, all mechanical and piping FEED, Detailed Engineering Design, Procurement, Installation and Commissioning deliverables developed by consultants ensuring that accuracy of design, construction, safety and quality standards are met.
Review and approve all mechanical engineering deliverables up to final delivery ensuring that quality standards are met.
Third Party Consultation:
Interface with Third Parties such as engineering consultants, construction contractors, suppliers, vendors, inspection agencies including Q-companies, local authorities and departments on all mechanical engineering matters to ensure designs developed are deemed fit for purpose.
Provide technical support on mechanical engineering issues in the review and approval of bidders, detail designs, material purchase requisitions, construction method statements, pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures.
Factory and Site Tests:
Review and witness Factory and Site Acceptance Tests (FAT/SAT) and inspect completed equipment installations to ensure compliance with design and specifications as required by the project.
Conduct site visits as required to ensure contractors compliance to QA/QC requirements.
Issue non-conformance reports in order to monitor and record adequacy of mechanical works.
Contribute to design review meetings, value engineering, risk assessments and project risk studies (HAZOP/HAZAN) by providing mechanical engineering expertise.
Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:
Bachelors degree in Engineering
Excellent oral and written communication and skills.
Teamwork, Coordination, Planning and Organizing, manpower management.
Flexibility / Adaptability

Travel required: At times for job requirements like Hazop attendance or critical client meetings at various other Kent offices across the globe. Also, may involve deputation to other Kent offices / Client offices on a short term or long-term basis.
