Solution Manager

The Solution Manager Site Screening (SMSS) is responsible for the success of growing and delivering Fugro’s Site Screening business, both in regard to capability of the solution or technology developed and in regard to its commercialization. A successful SMSS begins with understanding client needs and can translate the broadest needs into product vision and annual roadmaps. The SMSS has project level authority to define production direction and prioritization of user stories and functionality.

The SMSS acts as an advisor to regional operational management to ensure that resources commensurate with the local market opportunity are put in place; to maximize asset utilization and the ROI on capital invested; and to maximize delivery excellence by developing and enforcing a globally standard set of operating procedures.

Job Responsibilities

Develop a service or technology vision and strategy
Create and execute a commercialization strategy for the entire portfolio of technology necessary for a global service line
Assess market competition, establishing attack and defence strategies
Develop annual operational and innovation roadmaps for the advancement of the service and technology portfolio of the business line
Liaise regularly with key clients in respect of new services and technologies that would provide a clear value proposition for both the client and Fugro
Prepare annual innovation budgets for the Solution, inclusive of detailed budgets for each innovation project
For each operational service and technology, conduct an annual review on efficiency and effectiveness from a financial perspective
Develop, standardize, and oversee global use of set of Tender Standards

You Bring (qualifications & Experience)

Bachelors degree in any of the following – Business, Civil Engineering, Geophysical Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering
8 – 15 years working experience in any of the following – Geotechnical Engineering, Business Development, Solution Development, Consultative Selling, Business Planning
Commercial focus and ability to prioritize tasks accordingly
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills as well as strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to travel extensively, domestic and internationally, for meetings, presentations, training, etc
Strong analytical skills
Results oriented – the ability to identify actions necessary to obtain results
