The Halliburton Company is an American multinational corporation responsible for most of the world’s hydraulic fracturing industry. A former subsidiary of Halliburton, KBR is a major construction company for refineries, oil fields, pipelines and chemical plants. Working at Halliburton

In 2009, Halliburton announced plans to move its headquarters to the North Belt campus in Houston. In addition, it plans to consolidate operations at the Westchase and North Belt campuses. The move took place in 2009. The 90-acre (36 ha) North Belt complex was intended to employ 2,500 workers. Halliburton planned to add a research and development center with laboratories, a new cafeteria, a daycare center, two additional parking garages, and health and wellness centers for employees. Plans for the North Belt campus were pushed back a year and Halliburton estimated that it would be completed in 2013. The construction of the North Belt administration building should begin at the end of 2010.

According to Marilyn Bayless,  president of the North Houston Greenspoint Chamber of Commerce,  Halliburton  planned to move operations out of the North Belt office in 2003 because other  school districts in the area offered  tax exemptions to Freeport, while the Aldine Independent School District (AISD) where the Northern Zone office is located. In  May 2003, AISD began offering the same tax exemption as other jurisdictions to attract businesses. Halliburton later retained the North Belt office. The company has two headquarters  in Houston and  Dubai, but is still registered in the United States.

 Halliburton’s headquarters (North Belt Campus) is located in North Houston, Texas at the George H.W. Bush Intercontinental Airport. From 1961 to 2003, Halliburton was headquartered in Dallas, Texas. In 1985, the company moved its headquarters from the Southland Life Building in Dallas to 50,648 square feet (4,705.m2)  in Lincoln Plaza in downtown Dallas. 20 employees worked at Halliburton’s headquarters. in Dallas. Halliburton planned to change its headquarters to Houston in 2002.
